Doing whatever it takes to achieve revenue targets to sustain and grow the lab. This includes:
Identifying and securing strategic partnerships that will generate sales.
Planning out a gantt chart with projected activities, targeted outcomes and targeted revenue.
Effectively utilize available capital/budget for growth and optimize on reduction of operational costs to maintain a healthy bottom line
In Operations:
Develop and ensure implementation of effective policies (SOPs) for all operational procedures.
To identify areas requiring attention with respect to QA/QC, turnaround times, equipment utilization, etc. Develop and implement relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Policies towards efforts for managing and improving the areas identified.
Experience in ISO/MS 15189 Medical Lab Accreditation including Internal and External Audits.
Ensuring the Medical Lab Equipment is well maintained and calibrated regularly.
Ensure the integrity of stocks and maintenance of sufficient inventory (reagents and disposables).
To be responsible to set-up and / or maintain committees that enhances the quality, efficiency and profitability of the laboratory. These committees include but are not limited to Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Safety, Continued Education, etc.
Responsible for proposing, initiating and effective implementation of continuous improvement plans for efficiency, productivity and test result accuracy.
To provide leadership and guidance to all laboratory personnel, which includes the setting of their personal performance goals, evaluation and development/training.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree/diploma in a biological subject for eg. degree in Biomedical Science.
More than 5 years working experience in healthcare setting.
At least 2 years\' of managerial related experience.
Possess management capabilities in rolling out new strategies and team leadership qualities, at the desired level of competence.
Experience in Phlebotomy
Possesses good emotional intelligence and is able to resolve conflicts.
Has values of Integrity, Audacity, Excellence, and Perseverance.
As well as accountability, humility, and authenticity.
Track record of managing a path lab with excellent quality control and quality management programs.
Track record of achieving ISO/MS 15189 lab accreditation.
Experience with ISO 15193 will be an added advantage
