Education: Bachelor\'s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant master\'s degree or certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event marketing, preferably in a leadership or managerial role. Demonstrated success in planning and executing marketing strategies for large-scale events.
Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin will be an added advantage due to the nature of the project)
Strategic mindset: Ability to think strategically and develop data-driven event marketing plans aligned with business objectives. Strong understanding of target audience segmentation, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
Leadership skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a team, including setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
Creative thinking: Strong creativity and innovation skills to develop engaging event marketing campaigns and content that differentiate the brand and capture audience attention.
Analytical ability: Proficiency in data analysis and measurement to track event marketing performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize marketing strategies. Experience with marketing analytics tools and platforms is a plus.
Project management: Effective project management skills to oversee multiple events simultaneously, manage deadlines, and ensure successful event execution. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the event industry, including best practices, emerging trends, and the latest technologies used in event marketing and attendee engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop event marketing strategies: Create comprehensive event marketing plans that align with overall business objectives, target audience, and brand positioning. Identify key marketing channels and tactics to promote events effectively.
Team leadership: Manage and lead a team of event marketing specialists, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to maximize team productivity and results.
Event promotion and attendee acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to drive event registration and attendance. Leverage various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, content marketing, partnerships, and advertising, to generate awareness and attract the target audience.
Brand and messaging: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all event marketing communications. Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop compelling event content, collateral, and visuals that resonate with the target audience.
Data analysis and optimization: Track and analyze event marketing performance metrics, such as registration rates, attendee engagement, conversion rates, and ROI. Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and tactics, improve event outcomes, and inform future decision-making.
Stakeholder management: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including event operations, sales, product marketing, and executive teams, to align event marketing strategies with broader business goals. Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and sponsors to maximize event success.
Budget management: Develop and manage the event marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across different marketing initiatives. Monitor expenses and provide regular reports on budget utilization and ROI.
