We are currently seeking an experienced professional to take on the role Head of Retail Product.

Principal responsibilities

• Develop and manage a suite of retail banking products such as transactional banking solutions (including payments), credit cards, personal loans and mortgages to meet the strategic plan for product sales, profitability and market share growth
• Manage the product P&L\xe2\x80\x99s and balance sheet and capital strategy and Asset/ Liability management considerations from a WPB perspective
• Drive strategic business alliances and manage sales and retention performance to accelerate business growth
• Seek out, proactively, incremental new business opportunities and business expansion potential by managing pricing/product packaging to maximise profitability.
• Ensure strong product control, governance and compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements
• Meet all regulatory and procedural requirements necessary
• Nurture a highly-motivated team through effective communication of business directions and objectives
• The role is based in WPB Malaysia, and responsible for Retail Product Management. The role requires a good degree of independence and initiative and the jobholder will be expected to work with minimal guidance and be able to manage senior relationships autonomously.
• The role requires a high degree of autonomy, technical knowledge and experience necessary to manage relationships with the GBLs. The role is critical to the success of WPB to maintain high ROTE.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree above is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with knowledge in financial industry is preferred
• Knowledge and Experience minimum 10 years
• Bachelor Degree qualifications
• Detailed financial services and commercial banking business and product knowledge
• Strong financial and regulatory experience within Product Management
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience with interpreting and implementing new regulatory requirements.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to break down complex situations, spotting trends, inconsistencies, and causal relationships and the ability to communicate these to non-technical specialists
• Demonstrable experience of leading, managing and coaching a team of business partners in a changing commercial environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to influence as well as developing strong and productive relationships with key senior management and colleagues in a complex matrix environment
• Ability to influence and drive prioritisation decisions.
• Has worked in an agile environment.
