About the job Head of SoftwareDuties and Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the software development team.
• Oversee the development of native Android, web-based, and .NET-based Windows applications.
• Develop and implement software development strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ensure software compatibility with hardware and firmware in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Integration of data analytics and AI into software solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
• Implement continuous improvement processes for software quality and development efficiency.
• Oversee software testing, debugging, and release processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development processes and product offerings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all software development activities.

Skills and Competencies

• Proven experience in software development, including native Android, web-based, and .NET-based Windows applications.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Extensive experience with data analytics and AI integration.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of hardware and firmware compatibility considerations.
• Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in software development with at least five years of management experience managing a team
• Proven experience with dealing with software applications deployed on a hardware is an added bonus
• Proven experience dealing with digitalisation projects within the agriculture or drone industry is an added bonus
