Our client is amongst the top distributor of Retail Goods and have been expending their business presence across Malaysia exponentially. As such, they have decided to add additional headcounts to the Supply Chain department to support the ever-growing flow of demands.
In this role, you will be accountable for the job scope below:
Evaluate the organisation\'s supply chain performance against projected costs and time-lines.
Coordinate supply chain activities across all units of the organisation. Drive logistics / shipping, planning and warehouse performance index to exceed expectations at lowest possible cost.
Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of distribution management function as well as the planning and directing of activities and operations of the business.
To collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective distribution activities.
Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the distribution. Manage and supervise staff tasked with creating material requirement plans and/or forecasts.
Develop and maintain detailed inventories of stocks and supplies in between 2 warehouse locations and to all Company outlet.
Analyse current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of distribution and profitability for the company.
Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes. Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
Assess the need for stock-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of products.
Manage current and long-term forecast projections to drive production and inventory planning goals. Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting.
Develop effective communication and processes with the transportation and logistics vendors.
The Successful Applicant
Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or the equivalent
Minimum 10 years working experience with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in supply chain / logistics management position in Planning, Logistics / Shipping and Warehousing in Retail/Fast Moving environment
Well versed in inventory control in System environment
Ability to work independently with a sense of business acumen capable of presenting logical and well-structured proposals
Strong leadership and organisational skill to manage a diverse team
Strong people management skill
Demonstrated negotiation skills in achieving favourable results
