This role reports to the Head of Trade Operations and the successful candidate will be based in our Sibu Trade Services Centre branch.Job ResponsibilitiesFunctionalManage and process trade transactions in a timely manner with ensuring the documents are properly authorized and signing it on behalf of the Bank.Check, verify and override the daily trade transaction and error identification in the TE2000 system based on limits assigned by the Bank.Perform RCSA audit based on monthly modules rolled out as a component of operational risk management and manage the OPEX expenses, GL figures and ad-hoc reports to be reconciled regularly in timely submission.Liaise with Global Markets and customers regarding exchange rates/BA rates/ECOF and advise them on Trade related inquiry to ensure the financing of trade transactions is in line with the nature of business.Identify, troubleshooting and mitigate the risks in trade operations for appropriate steps as improvement initiatives in order to increase productivity.Familiar with working knowledge of all regulatory requirements (UCP 600/FE Notices) and ensure the trade process is in accordance with International trade rules, internal and external guidelines to ensure service quality delivery within Service Level Agreement (SLA).ManagerialExecute the comprehensive roles and responsibilities, including supervisory functions and provide coaching/training to staff of expertise required.Support a conducive working environment among team members and constantly motivate by creating awareness of bank\'s values to ensure attaining bank\xe2\x80\x99s standards of performance.Other ResponsibilitiesComply with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Code of Conduct & Ethics.Support and assist TSC housekeeping activities.Perform First Aiders functions as part of OSH expectation.Job RequirementsMalaysian citizen.Master Degree / Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Economics, Commerce or equivalent.At least 10 years experience in Trade Operations in Financial Institutions or related fields.Working proficiency in English (written & spoken) and competent with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work in a minimum supervision, high level of integrity and accountability, creative problem solver and strong management skills in leading a team.About Hong Leong BankWe are a leading financial institution in Malaysia backed by a century of entrepreneurial heritage.
