Head Operation Permanent Control

Job description

:

• Ensures compliance with applicable standards of the Permanent Control framework and operational risk setup in the Country, covering both Conventional and Islamic Banking Risks.
• Alerts Country Management and relevant Regional teams about significant events or local regulatory matters impacting operational risk and permanent control.
• Coordinates and performs risk identification and assessment in collaboration with local heads of business lines, control/support functions, and regional OPC teams specialized by Business line.
• Acts as a local point of contact for the deployment of control plans by Regional OPC teams, ensuring local specificities and risks are integrated into control plans.
• Ensures proper reporting of incidents/frauds and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are established.
• Responsible for the deployment and adherence to Group norms for Procedures Management.
• Ensures timely and accurate reporting of Key Risk Indicators & Loss Event Defaults to regulators via the ORION system and other ad-hoc regulatory reporting or submissions.
• Reports to Management Committees & Group OPCs on Operational Risk/Permanent Control Framework and thematic reviews.
• Enhances risk and governance awareness and control structure among staff.

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of internal control framework.
• Preferred knowledge of the regulatory environment in the financial services sector.
• Leadership experience.
