Position Overview
The Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall administration, discipline, safety, and welfare of hostel residents. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, maintains a secure and supportive living environment, and fosters a culture of respect and responsibility among residents.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Operations
Oversee hostel facilities, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Manage room allocations, occupancy records, and resident databases.
Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and catering staff for efficient services.
Ensure compliance with hostel policies and statutory requirements.
Resident Welfare & Discipline
Act as the primary point of contact for hostel residents.
Enforce hostel rules and regulations fairly and consistently.
Address grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues promptly.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
Safety & Security
Monitor entry/exit of residents and visitors.
Ensure fire safety, emergency preparedness, and adherence to safety protocols.
Liaise with security staff to prevent unauthorized access or misconduct.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and local regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Certificate / Diploma (preferably in Administration, Social Work, or related field).
Prior experience in hostel management, student affairs, or residential supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle conflicts and enforce discipline tactfully.
Knowledge of safety, security, and compliance procedures.
Organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
