Requirements:

  • A minimum Diploma in Hotel Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience as an Assistant Housekeeper in a 3-star Hotel or above.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire a team effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of Rooms and Public Areas operations, housekeeping inventories, equipment, and chemical usage.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, disciplined work ethic, and exceptional conduct.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the Housekeeping Department, aligning activities with directives from the General Manager/Rooms Division Manager.
  • Strategically manage departmental profitability for short, medium, and long-term objectives. Take ownership of assigned functions, focusing on increasing work efficiency, reducing costs, and preserving valuable assets.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and set achievable goals for departmental staff, fostering a high-performance culture within the team.
  • Develop and implement targeted training programs to enhance staff efficiency and commitment, aiming for continuous improvement and the highest standards of service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient Housekeeping system in line with the Hotel\'s Quality Service Standards, ensuring adherence to best practices and excellence in service provision.
Set measurable targets for workload enhancement, cost reduction, and asset maintenance to drive performance. Effective communication and leadership skills are key in guiding the team toward achieving these goals.
