Job Description


Job brief We are looking for a skilled HR manager to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including job design, recruitment, performance management, training & development, employment cycle changes, talent management, and management of compliance services. You will build and maintain an effective relationships and act as the point of contact between management and employees on talent-related matters. You are also responsible for the successful implementation of talent attraction processes and employee engagement initiatives, aligned to the company\xe2\x80\x99s business growth strategy. This position is based in Penang and the candidate will be required to manage other business office locations. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, onboarding, workforce planning and employee engagement - Create, develop and administer policies and procedures to ensure best HR practices are up to date and in line with current employment law; effective, relevant and aligned to the organization goals and objectives - Conducts new hire employee orientations, apprises employees of benefit options, and accurately completes requisite paperwork for new staff members. - Monitor performance evaluation process. Conduct corrective action session with effective follow up when necessary. - Build and maintain influential relationships with business leaders and understand the Penang and other business office locations, financial drivers, specific opportunities, gaps and challenges - Lead or support initiatives to drive employee engagement and exceptional experience working for the company (including listening surveys, associated communication and action planning) - Serves as the point of contact on employee relations issues, manages/handles issue as appropriate and escalates issues, as needed - Administer various resourcing and succession planning strategies, utilising relevant recruitment tools and lead the recruitment team on key recruitment campaigns - Identify and implement training and development plan by identifying gaps through understanding training needs. - Drive change, embedding behavioural change to align with talent priorities; advise business leaders in effective change management strategy and deployment of change - Provide latest and current people trends, potential areas of concern, and solutions through data analytics. - Coordinate with business leaders to drive talent initiatives and deliver the strategic talent agenda - May need to perform non-HR related administrative and operation duties. Key Requirements: - A graduate qualification - At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management as HR Business Partner, HR Manager or equivalent - Proven experience in all HR aspects (competency development, recruitment and selection, payroll, compensation & benefits, performance and talent management, coaching and mentoring.) - Possess good working knowledge of the Employment Act and relevant statutory Acts related to HR. Good knowledge on Codes of good practice. - Experience in designing and writing HR policies, procedures, offers, contracts of employment and using HR Information System. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented multicultural environment - Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Strong business acumen or commercial awareness. Financial acumen with experience in forecasting, cost benefit, and ROI analysis will be useful - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels. This includes experience of report writing utilising Excel, Word and Power point, or similar applications. - Fluent in English and Malay. Knowledge of other languages or dialects would be an advantage. -Uphold the highest ethical standards by inspiring trust and treat all people with respect and personal integrity. - High energy level and commitment, positive mindset.
