Job Description


:This role supports all required HSSE activities in a local project worksite. It has responsibility for ensuring that the company HSSE Management Systems and related activities are adequately maintained and implemented so that resulting actions are delivered effectively, minimizing risks to the business and project.Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate HSSE implementation programs in the project worksite.
  • To assist Site Safety and Health Officer (SHO) enforce safety policies and procedures at site to prevent incidents.
  • To identify hazards, assess risks to HSSE, and implement appropriate controls.
  • To coordinate and support the conduct of pre-task talk for contractors.
  • To conduct safety induction training for contractors, visitors, etc.
  • To ensure compliance with all HSSE requirements and standards, and also inculcate a safety culture throughout the project.
  • To assist in monitoring and reporting HSSE performance at site, developing HSSE management plan and event calendar to generate workforce\'s interest in HSSE.
  • To attend site meetings, conduct HSSE mass toolbox talk, trainings, and facilitate monthly HSSE meetings.
  • To liaise with relevant authorities to promptly resolve any site issues.
  • To assist in the investigation of incidents occurred and prepare any necessary documentations.
  • To perform all other tasks assigned by superiors whenever necessary from time to time.
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess at least Certificate/ Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred)
  • Candidates must possess a valid yellow book (registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) as a Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book))
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience as registered SSS in Construction Industry in Sarawak.
  • Strong knowledge of Sarawak HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Good in interpersonal skill, able to communicate and coordinate effectively with Client, Consultants, Project Teams, contractors and other Parties.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Candidates working in Sarawak preferred.
