Job Description


As a Head of Human Resources, you will be leading a team to develop, strengthen and implement HR guidelines align with Group HR policy and procedures. Partner with management and provide consultation in the areas of Employee and Industrial Relations, Employee Development, Performance Management, Compensation, Recruitment, Succession Planning, as well as a number of other HR related processes and activities, for the continued success and growth of the company.Payroll and HRIS:

  • Ensure all relevant daily HR & Payroll Administration services are consistent and in compliance with local acts (statutory and non-statutory) & Group HR guidelines
  • Hands on experience in monthly payroll processing
  • Prepare monthly payroll costing report and annual forecast manpower costing report
  • Work closely with Group HR for HR software enhancement
  • Work with HR team by ensuring any form of HR system data is accurate, kept secure and in compliance with data protections laws
  • Perform various tasks related to the on-going maintenance in existing modules and new modules implementation by ensuring timeliness and accurately testing in the system
  • Facilitate external auditors on information and documentations when needed
Compensation & Benefit:
  • Custodian to manage Annual Increment, Bonus, Incentive Payment and Promotion template for Management approval
  • Support Group HR to gather and provide information relevant to retail industry for market survey
  • Prepare reports related to Compensation & Benefits
  • Ensure current compensation & benefits policy are aligned with Group HR policy and procedures
  • Liaise with Third Party Administrator (TPA) and insurance company on medical benefits
Industrial Relations:
  • Sound knowledge of Employment Act 1955 and ensure disciplinary actions are taken within the legal act
  • Lead the team to manage any grievances, disputes and disciplinary cases towards prompt and amicable resolution
  • Advise and direct Line Managers / Head of Department on the appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with Company\'s policy and procedures
  • Company\'s representative in conciliation meetings and Industrial / Labor Court
  • Keeps up-to-date with latest development in HR industry and labor legislation
Recruitment:
  • Oversee overall recruitment include strategize and developing recruitment strategies
  • Lead and motivate the team to drive recruitment strategies and initiatives
  • Manage end-to-end Management Hiring
  • Partner closely and act as consultant to Line Manager / Head of Department on succession planning
Learning & Development:
  • Enhance learning & development structure within the Company
  • Develop yearly training program and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs conducted by the company
  • Partner closely with Group HR on implementation learning & development initiatives within the Company
Employee Engagement and Employer Branding:
  • Plan and develop employee activities to promote sense of belonging in the Company
  • Employer branding and position company as best place to work
Administration:
  • Oversee office administration
  • Validate and propose for management approval on annual forecast admin budget
  • Review Company Memorandum prepared for official announcement
  • Build and maintain relationship with building management
Requirements:
  • Minimum Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as HR Generalist with hands on experience in managing end-to-end Payroll processing
  • Proficient in HR2000 or Quickpay and Oracle would be added advantage
  • Demonstrated passion for other areas of HR functions
  • Proven experience in managing different stakeholders, including a strong ability to influence stakeholders and engage candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Table), data driven and analytical
  • Possess good problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
  • Confident and good presentation skills
