As the IDT Advisor, you will play a key role in evolving, enabling and executing the data and digital strategy for SMEP as we support the implementation of the Asset of the Future using data and digitalization technologies to deliver business efficiencies, automation and cost optimization. You will face off with key stakeholders in the Asset and work closely with both local and global IDT natural teams to integrate their requirements.
  • What's the role?
The IDT Advisor role provides support to the IDT Manager in delivering bottom line value to the business through the implementation of innovative, new IT data and digital solutions to enable the achievement of the business strategy, value drivers and KPIs. The key focus areas of the role are:

The IDT Advisor works closely with key business stakeholders to understand the business needs, manages business demand and helps shapes their requirements into fit for purpose data and digital solutions. The incumbent will work closely with the Digitalisation BOM and IDT natural teams to realize value from these solutions.

You will be part of the SMEP IDT Leadership Team and will be a Leader of Community.
  • Role requirement
  • A Bachelors or Master's degree, in IT or Engineering with significant leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience in IT applications and infrastructure.
  • Prior experience in disruptive digital technologies (e.g. cloud, analytics, etc) would be beneficial. Knowledge of Agile and Continuous Improvement methodology. Knowledge of budget planning.
  • Skilled as a business analyst and business partnering.
  • The interest and ability to understand the business strategy, value drivers, processes and challenges and to use this to identify opportunities for IT to drive greater business value
  • A good understanding of technology deployments for Upstream Assets and their relevance in driving business value for their respective business areas
  • Strong business analysis skills and the ability to shape opportunities into project proposals
  • Good communication and influencing skills and a collaborative approach for use in engaging with both business and IT stakeholders
  • Previous experience identifying and maturing business IT opportunities
  • Leadership and influencing skills with strong ability to deliver through others.
  • Special Challenges includes:
  • Cost Recoveries and data export compliance: Interfaces with JV partners and regulator for cost recoveries, data export and cloud hosting discussions and alignment of IT strategy. Supports the challenge processes for these key topics. Engages the IDT team and business to develop business cases.
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) and Cost Optimization: Drives the adoption of CI methodologies in improving the IT business process. Supports the IDT Manager in delivering the yearly budget optimization plans.
  • Asset Management System: Supports the IDT Manager as the Site Process Focal Point to ensure compliance with the Recommended Practices of the Manage Information, Data and Systems business process.
  • Functional Excellence: Collaborate with the global SEAT IDT natural team for sharing and obtaining best practices.
