Exp: Minimum 5 years

Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with minimum 5 years of experience in IT Application delivery and support

Roles & responsibilities:

Design, analyze, code and test programs for system development / enhancements in accordance to user specifications

Provide application support, performance and problem resolution activities and be responsive to the needs and meeting user demands.

Major challenges include:

Responsive to the needs of the user in meeting user expectations and demands

Achieve high quality of the system in terms of availability and meeting the agreed service levels.

Team leading skills - technical and soft skills

Manages application vendors

Other Essential requirements are

Application Delivery & Support - strong Analytical mind, good Problem analysis

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Unit Trust, Asset Management & Investment related systems

Team-leading qualities - coaching & team motivation

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Strong Technical skill-sets:-

Core Java / Java EE (J2EE): solid understanding of OOP principles, exception handling, multithreading, design patterns.

API & Web Development: RESTful API, Microservices, XML, JSON, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

CI/CD & Build Tools: Maven, GitHub

Tools: JUnit, Postman, JMeter (or equivalent)

Operating Systems: RHEL, Solaris Server

Middleware: JBOSS/WildFly, API Gateway

Database: Oracle - proficient in SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning

Web: Apache HTTP Server

Java Frameworks: hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)

Monitoring: Nagios, Dynatrace, ELK stack, Grafana.
