Income Tracking Analyst

A little bit about our team:

Warner Chappell Music is blessed to represent a diversified and talented roster of songwriters and composers. We are the administration hub for Asia and managing everything at the admin perspective from copyright registration, claiming, royalty processing, income tracking & analysis. We work closely with the local offices in Asia and globally to assist our writers and Operations on royalty collection.

Your role:

This position will provide administrative support to the publishing functions and will involve a variety of administrative tasks including income tracking, dealings with the societies, overseas affiliates, and suspense research. Key responsibilities will include administration of all areas of Warner/Chappell Music\xe2\x80\x99s Catalogues across WCM Malaysia and APAC.

Here you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to:

• Identify and make claims for shortfalls in income from various territories

• Liaise with counterparts across all affiliate offices, suppliers and sub-publishers to ensure income flows are in line with expectations & resolve any interruptions or discrepancies

• Ensure affiliate income queries relating to domestic income are resolved

• Provide the business with regular forecasts/updates by income providers (society/DSP/affiliate/third party)

• Income Tracking Team on projects including ad hoc forecasts and income analysis

• Collaborate with the global Income Tracking teams resolve and proactively prevent against problems arising with the collection of income

• You will work closely with the regional Royalty and Copyright teams to both resolve and proactively prevent against problems arising with the collection of income

Qualifications/Requirements for the role:

• Minimum Degree in Administration/Finance/relevant majors with 2 years income tracking experience.

• Proficiency with SQL/Snowflake queries (Joins, Subquery, etc).

• Skills to analyse, extract & manipulate data from high volume datafiles.

• Able to read, write and speak English, Malay, Traditional & Simplified Chinese.

• A forensic and detail-oriented approach to analysing data with a track record in delivering accurate results.

• You have advanced Excel capabilities including Power Pivot & advanced formulae.

• Confidence in clearly communicating with colleagues and management.

• The ability to manage multiple projects at once and hit time-sensitive deadlines.

• Experience with BI visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

• The ability to demonstrate your personal drive, ambition & willingness to learn.

• Experience with Power Query and Alteryx

• Understanding of performance rights organisation, international collection society structures and their licensing/distribution processes
