Telum Media is a fast-growing media intelligence company that connects media and communications professionals. We provide an Asia Pacific media database and news service to PR agencies and corporates around the region. Established in 2013, we have successfully built teams across the region. Our news and information are available in multiple languages, and our team members come from backgrounds across sectors and specialisms. The company established an office in Kuala Lumpur in 2018 to support our growing operations in Australia and New Zealand, Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. The Role The Information Team performs key tasks within Telum including generating database updates / content leads for Media Teams, updating and verifying media records, actioning quality control processes to ensure clients receive a consistently high-standard product, and training and onboarding new joiners.The Team has grown rapidly this financial year and now totals 18; with 12 colleagues based in Kuala Lumpur. This growth requires the support of an experienced, commercial minded in-market manager with excellent leadership and mentoring skills to nurture talent and career opportunities within the Team. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of three years\xe2\x80\x99 managerial experience, have worked for an international focused customer-centric organisation, and be used to leading and mentoring a team of at least five people. The initial focus is to ensure daily tasks are actioned accurately and in a timely manner, as well as mentoring colleagues to ensure less experienced operators receive the support they require. In time, the role will develop to coaching and mentoring all colleagues, so they are able to work independently and to company standards on all aspects of their role; as well as supporting career progression.
