An exciting Infra Engineer (Cloud) job has just become available at one of the fintech startups based in Johor Bahru.

About the Infra Engineer (Cloud) Role:
Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining multi-hypervisor and multi-cloud computing virtualisation architectures for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee cloud computing strategy to support rapid business growth. Provide stable, efficient, resilient, and scalable cloud computing platforms to end users
• Design, implement, and maintain multi-hypervisor and multi-cloud computing virtualisation architectures. Optimise cloud computing system performance globally and enhance its security
• Fulfil end-user service level agreements for application and accessibility availability
• Provide technical support and training to end-users. Deliver customised cloud virtualisation solutions from various vendors
• Work closely with vendor technical consultants and sales support to resolve issues promptly. Ensure customer account satisfaction from a technical standpoint
• Comply with security and regulatory standards as per local laws and regulations

To succeed in this Infra Engineer (Cloud) role, you will need to be a high-potential and motivated individual who is independent in managing an in-house IT environment.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or related field with at least one year of experience with large-scale cloud platform or software implementation
• Knowledgeable in virtualisation technologies, Linux operating systems, network virtualisation technologies, software-defined storage, and virtualisation technologies
• Ability to learn and perform system administration duties (server installation, patch management, storage, backup, and recovery/HA)
• Ability to learn and design workflows for application and infrastructure deployment automation
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring for issue resolution and documentation
• Understanding of industry public cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Ali Cloud, Tencent Cloud)
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Python, C/C++, Unix/Linux shell scripting)
• Strong communication skills in English
