Position Summary

As an Innovation & Renovation Manager you are required to drive and co-ordinate new products development & existing products improvement for the business unit. This is fundamental to driving the agreed business growth. You are needed to drive establishment and management of innovation pipelines and portfolio with Business Executive Manager. You will also need to Gatekeeper for MYSG NPDI system, Primary contact with event managers/Producing factories. You are also needed to manage escalations with regards to quality and technical matters. Aside, you will be needed to plan, direct and control implementation of new products development project portfolio to ensure new products are launched on time at desired cost

A day in the life of an Innovation & Renovation Manager

Drive and manage Innovation project portfolio:

• Engage all relevant disciplines in the company to ensure on target implementation of Innovation projects under his/her care.
• Validate all new products meet specifications (including organoleptic, physical, chemical, microbiological, halal, regulatory and other requirements).
• Project portfolio management in terms of risk & opportunities

Drive Product Innovation:

• Actively evaluate innovative ideas, products, packaging\'s using Nestl\xc3\xa9 worldwide network as well as cross fertilized ideas across the markets.
• Actively monitor with team members, the success of existing products and initiate product renovation ideas in terms of consumer preference, cost, wellness, and product quality.
• Co-ordinate project briefs and proposals in innovation portfolio to establish and maintain full innovation pipelines.

Drive manufacturing strategy development:

• Co-ordinate project to establish, maintain or update manufacturing strategy covering all plants under his/her responsibility.
• This includes determining all business needs for the future horizon (5-10 years), planned volumes, link with Export needs, evaluation of current process constraints, drive development of manufacturing scenarios to respond to different business needs, proposal of optimal solution to support business needs, including identification for clear triggers for changes / investment

Assist to optimize product outsourcing:

• Participate actively with Outsourcing Manager in identifying price competitive, high-quality co-manufacturers for packaging / processing formats not offered by current manufacturers.

Optimize resources for products innovation:

• Participate actively with Group technology unit to ensure availability and adequacy of resources & competencies for all innovation products, including consumer research needs.
• Reference point for all labelling & regulatory requirements for products within the business unit.
• Gatekeeper for Nestle Infant Nutrition MYSG NPD and Responsible for ensuring adherence to all company principles and policies.

What will make you successful

• Education: University Degree in Food science/food technology or related field.
• Overall, more than 10 years of experience and at least 5 years\' experience in food processing
• Good experience in project management is a must.
• Proficiency in English and Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop people
