The Interior Design Supervisor is responsible for supervising and monitoring all interior fit-out and finishing works at the construction site. This role ensures that interior works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards while meeting project timelines and maintaining safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision & Coordination
Supervise day-to-day interior works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, painting, and joinery installation.
Ensure all interior works are executed according to approved design drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, workers, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Verify site measurements and dimensions before installation or fabrication.
Attend site coordination meetings and report progress or technical issues to the Project Manager / Coordinator.
2. Quality Control & Finishing Standards
Monitor workmanship and ensure high-quality finishing for all interior works.
Inspect installation of materials, fittings, and furniture to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
Identify and resolve on-site issues such as defects, misalignment, or incorrect installations.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare snag lists for rectification.
3. Material & Drawing Management
Review shop drawings, detail drawings, and material samples for accuracy before work execution.
Ensure correct materials and finishes are used as per the approved samples and specifications.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of interior materials.
4. Planning & Reporting
Monitor and track daily site progress to ensure completion according to the construction schedule.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for submission to the project management team.
Support in updating site records, including material usage, labor deployment, and inspection reports.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all interior works comply with site safety rules and regulations.
Promote safe work practices among subcontractors and workers.
Report any unsafe activities or conditions to the site safety officer immediately.
Requirements:
Qualification:
Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Building Technology, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in interior fit-out supervision, preferably in construction or high-rise projects.
Experience managing subcontractors and finishing works on-site.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of interior materials, finishes, and detailing.
Able to read and interpret construction and interior drawings.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of design quality and workmanship.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Additional Advantage:
Familiarity with
CIDB, QLASSIC, and ISO quality standards

Experience in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple interior teams or subcontractors simultaneously.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
