Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world's largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team in the role of Investment Research and Financial Planning Manager working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role purpose:

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, control, and execution of the day-to-day investment research support to the product team, network and customers. This includes to work together with product team on product development, guide the network on market outlook/ investment themes, identify investment focus based on the prevailing market outlook/ investment themes to support sales staffs, and provide regular investment communications for internal and external uses to drive business activities.
• Lead the overall development and implementation of HSBC Wealth Insights to enhance customer experience and meet business needs. This includes partnering with internal or external stakeholders to plan for the digital solutions and commercialization strategies, and on-boarding of new Wealth Insights to close existing gaps.
• Work closely with the Global Financial Planning team in planning, designing and developing the future stage of strategic wealth planning as per Group's standard, and drawing roadmap of wealth platform and sales process enhancement. Provide training and coaching to the Wealth Coaches/Product Experts/sales staffs in the wealth planning process to ensure the business operates in the most productive and compliant manner over the long term.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Contributes to increase the Bank's profitability by providing timely investment guidance and actionable investment ideas to assist customers in making informed decision in their wealth planning.
• To improve customer's experience with the Bank in wealth management services in terms of consultation, product suitability assessment and product selection.
• Act as the key liaison person between Global Wealth Insights Lead, Global Financial Planning Lead and local teams such as product development team, Wealth Coach, Wealth Sales, Marketing and sales staffs.
• Act as the point of reference for queries on Wealth Insights, and wealth sales process.
• By encouraging conducive work environment and employee relationship, work life balance and career development.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
• Contribute to the good image of the Bank and improving employee engagement (Global People Survey).

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in BA or BS.
• Minimum 5 years working experience preferable in research and advisory in Wealth Management, Fund Management, Private Banking and Investment Advisory industries.
• Has good knowlegde of current market developments and in depth knowledge of wealth products such as unit trusts,structured investments and fixed income. Preferable to have proficiency with Bloomberg, Morningstar or Lipper Hindsight Analytical tools.
• Strong numerate and analytical skills.
• Excellent communicator both written and orally and able to influence others whislt maintaining excellent interpersonal relationship.
• Detailed oriented and able to take initiative, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple assignments.
