Job Description




We are seeking an experienced and dedicated IR/ER Manager to join our organization in Sarawak. As an IR/ER Manager, you will be responsible for managing the industrial relations and employee relations activities within the company. Your primary focus will be to foster positive relationships between the organization and its employees while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to Sarawak.

Responsibilities: * Develop and implement strategies and policies related to industrial relations and employee relations in compliance with Sarawak labor laws.

  • Maintain positive relationships with employee representatives, labor unions, and government authorities.
  • Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes for both the organization and employees.
  • Handle employee grievances and disputes, conducting investigations, and recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Advise and guide managers and supervisors on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations specific to Sarawak and ensure the organization\'s compliance.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for managers and employees to promote understanding of labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, legal, and operations, to develop and implement initiatives that promote positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze key employee relations metrics, identify trends, and propose strategies for improvement.
  • Participate in relevant industry associations and forums to stay informed about best practices and industry trends in IR/ER.
Requirements: * Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in industrial relations or employee relations roles, preferably in Sarawak.
  • In-depth knowledge of Sarawak labor laws, regulations, and employment practices.
  • Experience in negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in using HRIS and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
