Job Description

This position is responsible for managing and supporting the point-of-sale (POS) systems across all retail outlets. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting POS hardware and software. The role ensures efficient sales transactions, data integrity, and system security. • Install and Set Up Hardware and Software: Ensure proper installation and configuration of computer hardware, software and ERP systems.
• Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to systems, software and hardware via phone, instant messaging, email or remote desktop.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Resolve hardware, software and internet-related issues at HQ and retail outlets within established time frames.
• Network Management: Monitor and manage network performance, troubleshoot network issues and ensure network security through firewalls, antivirus software and other security measures.
• Enforce IT Policies: Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards and data protection regulations.
• Maintain IT Documentation: Keep up-to-date documentation of IT systems, network configurations and asset inventories.
• POS System Support: Assist in the daily operation of POS systems, ensuring smooth functionality across all retail locations.
• POS System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of POS systems with back-end systems, such as inventory and finance management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in an IT-related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience with hands-on POS systems (hardware/software) and network troubleshooting.
• CCNA or other network certifications.
• Previous IT experience in the retail industry is preferred.
