JOB DESCRIPTION - Advance troubleshooting for Linux/Unix. - Administering a largely virtualised production environment. - Identify and apply innovative technology to update LINUX/UNIX servers. - Identify underlying problems discovered during day-to-day operations and managing them to resolution. - Act as team technical reference. - Lead Infra team presentation during CAB (Change Approval Committee). - Lead RCA investigation within team members. - Create and maintain Infra technical documentation/diagram. - Standby 24/7 for any production environment incident. - Knowledge transfer between team members. - Participate in weekly TAC (Technical Assessment Committee) Review. SKILL - Candidate with at least 5 years of working experience as system administrator are strongly encouraged to apply - Working knowledge on various Operating System administration especially Windows, Linux, UNIX. - Well versed on Linux and UNIX server architecture. - Knowledge in server security management such as hardening and vulnerability management. - Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix command line. - Scripting (Linux Shell/Bash or Perl) - Knowledge in UNIX/LINUX HA configuration such as veritas infoscale, Keepalive, HAProxy. - Well verse in virtual platform environment such as VMWare/Nutanix/LPAR/LDOM. - Familiar in 24/7 operation centre environment. - A solid understanding on how an IT Infrastructure work from the physical layer to the application layer. - An understanding of how applications communicate within the infrastructure such as load balancer, firewall, networking. - A team player and able to work independently and deliver a good result in tight deadlines with minimum guidance. - Have strong logic and analytical skill to understand the system/business process flow. - Good verbal and written skills in English. Able to brief the idea in a documented report clearly. - Have experience in leading technical project. EDUCATION QUALIFICATION - Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or similar work experience - Good to have RHCE Certified, Nutanix Certified - ITIL certified
