About the Job

We are looking for an motivated infrastructure engineer who is looking to further their career. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting On-Prem platforms, overseeing and ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.

The availability, integrity, security and performance of our infrastructure will be your main motivation. You will be detail-oriented, proficient with technologies and hardware.

You will also be responsible for upgrading and improving operating environments, creating repair strategies, and providing technical support and training for users.

About You

You will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry\xe2\x80\x99s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Performing high level systems administration of on-prem
• Ensure delivered solutions are handed off operationally with appropriate documentation (e.g. best practices, design documents, run books) required
• Provide high level expertise in OS support more specifically Windows and Red Hat Linux.
• Hands-on experience with cloud core infrastructure components
• Manage incidents and requests across several disciplines (including, but not limited to)
• Proactively monitor and resolve infrastructure service issues prior to escalation
• Managing core operating systems and virtualization platforms including upgrades, configuration and patching
• Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability and security. Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Administer and upgrade core business infrastructure
• Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
• On-Call rota and overtime may be required

Key skills:

• Windows Server 2012-2019
• VMware vSphere 6.5 to 7 (VCSA, ESXi, DRS, HA, VUM)
• Change and incident management processes
• Problems solving and solution visualization
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
