Job Description

Purpose Project technicians perform various functions throughout a project to help ensure the project runs smoothly. The post holder will complete and manage the tasks assigned to him and ensure proper documentation and compliance is met during the project rollout as well as ensure that the tasks given are carried out properly. Main duties and responsibilities: 1. Deploy net equipment and setup based on requirements. 2. Ensure equipment deployment compliances, timeline and documentation needs are met. 3. Ensure timely delivery of work and tasks given. 4. Able to work across with other departments and teams to ensure project completion. 5. Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email 6. Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. 7. Provide accurate information on IT products or services. Record events and problems and their resolution in logs. Follow-up and update customer status and information 8. Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team 9. Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures Supervision received The post reports to both the Head of IT as well as the various project leads based either in Malaysia or UK. Contact The post holder will have frequent contact with staff in Malaysia. Terms and conditions This post is a temporary position. The post is based in Malaysia. CRITERIA Essential Attainment

• Good level of Education (Diploma/Degree)

• Good command of the English language, both oral and written

Skills Required

• Ability to write technical documentation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent IT/ AV equipment and systems troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure

• Ability to take innovative approaches to problem solving

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 10.

• Good understanding of computer systems and hardware

• Good understanding of basic networking (IP addresses, DHCP configuration etc) and device administration.

Relevant Experience

• Experience working to SLAs

• Experience in managing suppliers

• Diploma in IT

Skills Required

• Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows based environment

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 10

• Understanding of industry best practice relating to change management

• Knowledge of IT Security

Relevant Experience

• Experience of supporting AV equipment

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months Salary: RM400.00 - RM500.00 per month Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
