Oversee the entire hotel's IT systems, including servers, networks (wired and Wi-Fi), and telecommunications.
Manage and maintain core hospitality applications such as the Property Management System (PMS), POS systems, and Sales & Catering software.
Ensure all systems are functioning 24/7, performing regular maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
Manage third-party vendor relationships for IT hardware, software, and support services.
2. Technical & Guest Support
Lead the IT team in providing timely and professional technical support to all hotel staff and departments.
Ensure guest-facing technology, particularly Wi-Fi, in-room entertainment, and business center services, delivers a seamless and high-quality experience.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
3. Security & Compliance
Develop and enforce all IT security policies and procedures to protect hotel and guest data.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (like PDPA) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
Manage network security, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
4. Convention & A/V Support
Oversee the IT and Audio-Visual (A/V) requirements for the hotel's conventions, meetings, and events.
Ensure all A/V equipment (projectors, microphones, lighting, video conferencing) is fully operational and supported during events.
Coordinate with event planners and clients to meet their specific technical needs.
5. Leadership & Budgeting
Manage and mentor the IT department staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
Develop and manage the annual IT budget, including capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenses (OpEx).
Research and recommend new technologies to improve operational efficiency, enhance the guest experience, and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an IT management or senior IT role.
Experience in the hotel/hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of hotel systems (e.g., Opera, MICROS, or other major PMS/POS systems).
Solid understanding of IT security principles and data protection regulations.
Experience with A/V systems and event technology support.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
A "hands-on" approach and willingness to be available for critical system issues.
