Professional, Full Time (Contract)

This position is responsible to provide support, troubleshoot and resolve issues for the University\xe2\x80\x99s surveillance systems (CCTV and door access system) and to ensure the proper functioning of the PABX and UPS system.

\xef\xbb\xbfKey responsibilities:

  • \xef\xbb\xbfInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, propose, upgrade and resolve issues related to the university\xe2\x80\x99s surveillance and security systems (CCTV and Door access).
  • \xef\xbb\xbfMaintain and monitor the surveillance and security hardware and software to ensure high availability.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfProvide training on the operation, administration and management of the surveillance and door access systems.
  • Plan, improve and implement security processes on new security technologies.
  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfConduct cross functional training for other colleagues in ICT.
  • Perform day-to-day technical support for audio-visual equipment and PA systems.
  • Carry out network cabling work.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all the UPS in the campus.
Required qualification:
  • A bachelor degree in Computer Science or related computer field.
Selection Criteria:
  • Minimum one (1) year of direct experience in CCTV and door access administration. It is mandatory to possess both operations and vendor/project management.
  • Experience with device configuration for network switched, UPS, door access system, CCTV installation, IP video, video storage and archiving and other peripherals related to surveillance system.
  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfExperience in administering Local Area Network (LAN), Windows server.
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems and maintaining system security. Proven to have troubleshooting knowledge in Networking and Microsoft Windows services such as DHCP, IP address and DNS.
  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfBasic knowledge in PA system such as microphone, speakers, audio mixers and amplifier is an added advantage.
  • Possess problem solving skills, technical and logical thought process.
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal skills and conversant in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively; both independently and in a team enviornment.
  • Detailed oriented, a positive attitude and skills in providing a high quality customer service.\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf
