Cross Light Capital Sdn Bhd is a Securities Commission Malaysia licensed fund management company with expertise in global multi-asset strategies with a focus on absolute returns. The company believes that applying real world discretionary trading strategies to the rigor of a quantitative process and strategic asset allocation framework can significantly improve risk adjusted returns. We focus on a hybrid approach of discretionary fundamental investing and systematic investing emphasizing data-driven insights, scientific testing, and disciplined portfolio construction techniques. We are currently looking to hire a Junior Operations,Compliance and Legal Officer to join us in the next phase of our growth. The job scope would primarily involve: a) Assisting the CEO and Person Responsible for Compliance with operations, compliance and legal and regulatory related matters b) Operational work with respect to the fund management business c) Keeping abreast with Securities Commission guidelines and other regulatory related matters d) Ensuring regulatory and internal compliance policies and procedures are met e) Assisting the CEO and other team members to ensure that KYC/AML policies and procedures are met f) Assisting with legal work with respect to the fund management business g) Assisting CEO with marketing presentations Qualifications and Requirements 1. Bachelor\'s degree (with L.L.B (Hons) helpful) 2. Possess the positive attitude and is well disciplined, willing to learn and self-motivated 3. Tech literate (at minimum able to work with Excel) 4. Able to work independently and diligently 5. Highly responsible and able to multitask 6. Can manage, monitor progress of files and to meet tight deadlines We are looking for motivated self-starters who have some knowledge of finance/ investing and are passionate about financial markets. Graduates with a legal background or a background in accountancy/audit are preferred, although anyone else who is interested and qualified is encouraged to apply. Prior experience is a plus but not a prerequisite and recent university graduates or soon to be graduating are welcome to apply for the position.
