Junior PR Specialist (Malaysia)

As a Junior PR Specialist for one of the leading entertainment clients on a mission to entertain the world, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be supporting the client\xe2\x80\x99s PR team to constantly evolve the local market\xe2\x80\x99s communications and publicity strategy, including influencer engagement. This role is suited for someone who is able to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Role:

• Manage day-to-day relations with internal stakeholders, media and influencers, and relevant external agency partners, following the timeline of deliverables for communication campaigns and strategic milestones.
• Ideate creative PR and KOLs strategies for selected titles, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions organised by both internal and external parties.
• Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders, media, and KOLs, amongst others, through various means of communication and activities.
• Support the client when working with third-party agencies, production partners, or digital and social support teams.
• Calling and securing confirmation of attendance, reporting on RSVPs of media, KOLs, and influencers to all events.
• Create reports on daily media coverage and campaigns\xe2\x80\x99 coverage tracking.
• Actively listen and look out for brand, industry, market, and competitors news, and flag any changes, updates, and crises to the internal team.

You:

• Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communications, Public Relations or similar
• 2+ years of experience across PR, publicity, brand, entertainment, media and consumer communication is appreciated but not necessary
• Ideally, with experience in an agency environment
• Strong relationships with entertainment, lifestyle, and technology media in Malaysia with a solid understanding and appreciation of the local creative industries and influencer marketing is highly appreciated.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and hyper-organised across multiple programmes and projects running at the same time
• Candidate must be resourceful, independent, possess amazing attention to detail, have the ability to self-edit, have great timeline management, and be confident
• Stellar writing, editing, and marketing communications and story-telling skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentations skills and - ideally - fluent in Bahasa Melayu due to the nature of the projects. Understanding another local Malaysian language is also an added advantage for this role.
