We are looking for a diligent and enthusiastic

Junior QA Automation

to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and reliability through a mix of manual and automated testing. This role offers opportunities to work closely with experienced team members and develop expertise in software testing methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration and Requirement Understanding:

Collaborate with the Test Lead, Developers, and peers to understand the requirements of features and functionalities, with a focus on testable aspects. Contribute to creating and maintaining automation-focused test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test environments. Work with the Test Lead and peers to ensure automated test cases are aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Test Execution and Reporting:

Prepare and execute automation and manual test cases based on the test plan provided by the Test Lead or QA Manager. Conduct functional, exploratory, and regression testing to uncover potential issues. Learn to monitor and analyze automated test results, identifying and reporting any issues or discrepancies. Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as JIRA, collaborating with the team to ensure timely defect resolution.

Automation Development and Contribution:

Assist in contributing to the design and development of automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools. Collaborate with more experienced team members to ensure automated tests are aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria.

Cross-Functional Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and other stakeholders, ensuring continuous communication and collaboration. Provide daily status updates on testing progress, issues, and overall quality status during daily standups.

Continuous Improvement & Communication:

Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in software and mobile application testing tools and technologies. Engage with peers to share insights and contribute to optimizing testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Foundational knowledge in automated and manual testing methodologies. Familiarity with creating test cases and documentation. Basic understanding of testing frameworks and bug-tracking tools, such as JIRA. Strong analytical skills for identifying potential issues during testing phases. Ability to work closely with team members and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment. Willingness to learn new testing tools and frameworks, and an active interest in professional development within the testing field.

Pay: Up to RM6,000.00 per month
