Key Responsibilities / Job Scope (Updated)

Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) / take-offs for electrical works (power distribution, lighting, earthing, DBs, cabling, switchgear, UPS, generators, etc.). Produce accurate cost estimates and project budgets for tendering and internal proposals. Prepare quotations for contracts and variation orders (VOs), and submit to clients for review and approval. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers and subcontractors; manage overall project costing with regular costing reports to management. Prepare and submit tender documents, evaluate subcontractor quotations and carry out price comparisons. Manage contract administration: draft and review contracts/subcontracts, administer variations, extensions of time, claims and approvals. Raise and follow-up interim payment claims, certificates and final accounts; reconcile client/subcontractor payments. Prepare and process Variation Orders (VOs) with appropriate cost and justification; negotiate entitlements with clients/consultants. Maintain up-to-date cost reports, forecasts, cashflow projections and cost-to-complete analyses. Conduct site measurement and verification, keep measurement records and site diaries relevant to QS tasks. Support procurement: prepare bills/quantities for purchase, evaluate supplier pricing and advise on cost-saving alternatives. Work with Project Managers / Engineers to review design changes and assess commercial impact. Ensure compliance to company commercial procedures, local regulations and contract terms.
