Candidate is required to station at customer office as Resident Engineer to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
Provide technical services and support for the following areas:
o Virtualization o Backup and Storage o Windows Server Environment o Network and Connectivity
Provide 1st level support
To report and work with superior on activities and on-going support cases and new issues arise
To liaise with product principal, vendors for problem escalation and resolution
Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, operating procedures, and hardware guide
Perform product preventive maintenance for customers, including updated product firmware, signature, and patches
Be able to work independently with minimum supervision and work/coordinate with business applications owners, vendors, consultants, contractors and IT personnel from other departments or companies
Job Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field
At least 2+ years and above of system engineer experience
Proven working experience in supporting end-to-end infrastructure systems
Working experience in infrastructure system implementation is a plus
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, organizational and time-management skills
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
Good documentation skills
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and willing to take on any challenges
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Possess good working attitude
Must possess hands-on and troubleshooting skills experience on VMware related products
Must possess hands-on and troubleshooting skills experience on Dell EMC related products
Knowledge, experience with HCI related products such as Nutanix, SimpliVity, HyperFlex will be an added advantage
Knowledge, experience with A+, Cisco CCNE, MCSE/MCSA, Commvault/Veeam/ Netbackup will be an added advantage
Must be able to work on ODD hours including weekend and public holidays
Possess own transport and willing to travel within Klang Valley regularly, and within Malaysia occasionally.
