Kitchen Crew - Requirements

1. Experience & Skills

Minimum

1 year of experience

working in a cafe or restaurant kitchen environment. Proficient in preparing a variety of dishes, especially

pasta, brunch items, and side dishes

. Strong ability to

follow recipes accurately

, maintain consistency, and adhere to portion control standards. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to

new menus, cooking styles, and kitchen techniques

. Competent in

basic knife skills

and familiar with standard

kitchen equipment and safety protocols

.

2. Work Attitude & Teamwork

Punctual, reliable

, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Displays a

positive, professional attitude

, treating team members and management with respect. Thrives in a

fast-paced kitchen environment

, staying calm and focused during peak service hours. Strong team player who consistently maintains

high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety

3. Communication & Language

Able to understand and follow instructions in

Malay and/or English

. Comfortable reading and interpreting

kitchen order tickets, recipes, and prep lists

accurately.

4. Hygiene & Certification

Holds a

valid Food Handling Certificate

.

Typhoid vaccination

is preferred. Practices excellent

personal hygiene

and ensures a clean, sanitary workstation at all times.

5. Physical Requirements

Able to

stand for extended periods

and sustain energy throughout long shifts. Physically capable of handling common kitchen tasks, including

lifting, bending, carrying, and food preparation

.

6. Schedule & Availability

Willing to work

split shifts or extended hours

, typically from

11:30 AM to 11:30 PM

with a 2-hour break. Available to work on

weekends and public holidays

, with

one rest day per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
