JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: L2 Production Support Engineer Job Purpose: L2 Production Support Engineer is responsible for the 2nd level support on the day-to-day maintenance of application system. Their task includes problem analysis, troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation to the next level (L3 Support team). Key Responsibilities: Problem analysis and resolution. Perform system performance and stability monitoring Provide support and coordination of planned activities based on assigned shifts. Subjected to change as and when assigned by supervisor. Support the system maintenance (including deployment related activities) for Production and DR environment as assigned by the supervisor. Collection and analysis of system statistics On-call standby support 24x7. Complete other task to be assigned by supervisor Own the reported issue and work towards issue resolution. Job Specification: Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude. General banking knowledge or Banking knowledge related to Wealth Management / Private banking Represent production support for the suite of apps in the domain in Agile stand-ups, planning sessions and deployment activities. Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation to continuously improve the production environment. Identify reoccurring issues and work with IT & Business partners to remediate using the problem management process Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years of overall experience in professional software engineering At least 4+ years of hands-on experience as production support engineer Required Competencies and Skills: Competencies/Skills: Experience with automation/configuration management using Jenkins Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services Expertise with containerization technologies, including Websphere etc. Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux systems and SQL. More than 2 years of working experience in a related field is preferred Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. Strong verbal, written & presentation skills. Good knowledge in IBM Websphere, DB2. MySQL, Mobile First Platform and DynaTrace and other monitoring tools is preferred.
