is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, development, and improvement of all landscaped areas within the facility or property. This includes managing the landscaping team, ensuring the health and aesthetic quality of plants and grounds, scheduling routine maintenance, and coordinating with facility management to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping and groundskeeping activities, including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, watering, and fertilizing.
Plan and schedule maintenance operations to ensure all landscaped areas are well-kept year-round.
Inspect grounds, gardens, and irrigation systems regularly to ensure proper upkeep and identify areas for improvement.
Supervise the use and maintenance of landscaping tools, machinery, and irrigation systems.
Manage and train landscape workers on horticultural techniques, safety practices, and efficient work methods.
Monitor inventory of plants, fertilizers, tools, and other materials; prepare requisitions and manage stock levels.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized landscaping work or plant supply.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, including waste disposal and pesticide application regulations.
Support sustainability and beautification projects, including native planting and water-efficient landscaping.
Maintain records of maintenance schedules, work reports, and staff performance.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Horticulture, Landscape, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
Strong knowledge of plant care, soil management, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance techniques.
Experience in using and maintaining landscaping tools and machinery.
Leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and organizational abilities.
Basic knowledge of environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
