1.1 Billion! The investment volume for a multi-year horizon project for the Lean Digital Core (LDC), which is a major transformation project for Novartis Group, spanning all units and functions globally.

This role will help drive the execution of Novartis\' ambition to turn data and digital into a strategic asset to drive actionable insights across the organization. This ambition is one of key pillars in the broader digital transformation happening at Novartis to be a focused medicines company powered by data and digital.
Accountability for the design in the respective work-package, build and deployment of LDC in-scope processes and data based on the user-requirements defined in conjunction with the domain pillars and the E2E data team. Working with architecture to identify new technologies and the new possibilities arising out of it.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• This role is responsible for the design and implementation of Product Data Model in close collaboration with the Enterprise PLM Process Lead, Product Data Lead and functional team members in the respective areas of the product data.
• This role will focus on establishing and developing the Novartis data capability in collaboration with the functions and lead the implementation within LDC scope. They will drive continuous improvement across the Product data domain to identify areas of data model and integrity opportunities and improvements to support the PLM Enterprise process vision and functional needs for data.
• Role is accountable for overall global product data model development and improvement activities in alignment of the business goals and priorities in close collaboration with the respective Solution teams and business process owners.
• Accountable for the core design of product data concepts and data model, supporting the build and implementation to enable PLM Enterprise Process:

o Identify core technology solutions, together with technology architect leads and prepare proposals for concepts and improvement actions
o Ensure quality design and build of technology solutions and deliver the business benefits as per the CAR
o Coordinate the build and implementation of the data concepts ensuring the business requirements are met with the solution in alignment with Enterprise PLM priorities and targets.
o Develop roadmap for product data model implementation

• Maintain the overview of product data concepts such as product data structures and master data concepts across systems and functional sub-domains.

o Ensure adoption of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data solutions across legacy landscape to produce FAIR data at the source for the entities they own.
o Responsible for gathering and implementing data requirements coming from Business Function (Domain Pillars in LDC projects), PLM Enterprise process lead and Data lead and other dependent projects / programs.
o Ensure that data ideas, concepts and features are validated with internal stakeholders from all levels of the business.
o Proactively identify data issues and work with stakeholders to investigate and implement corrective measures and seek opportunities to continuously improve the quality and integrity of the data asset.
o Defines the requirements for data quality monitoring for overall product data across sub-domains.

Minimum requirements

What you\'ll bring to the role:
Essential:

• Education: master\'s university degree or higher.
• Experience: At least 5 years\' experience in regional or global role in product data related functional area such as Product master data management, Brand Management, Regulatory Affairs or Supply chain master data in cross-functional setting.
• Experience from SAP PLM, SAP Specification Management and materials management and related data concepts
• Experience from product data model both from operational and regulatory data point of view.
• Product lifecycle management business process design experience is considered as additional strength

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience working in data and with system configuration workstreams, in ERP / systems implementations and PLM implementation projects
• Additional Project Management training, a certification/designation desirable
