About the Role

We are seeking a skilled

Lead

Cloud Operations Engineer

to support the design, automation, and scalability of our production cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about building resilient systems, solving complex problems, and driving operational excellence in a high-velocity environment.

You will work closely with developers, operations, and platform teams to build, monitor, and support scalable cloud systems that power mission-critical video advertising services globally.

Key Responsibilities

Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error. Improve system reliability and reduce incident rates through proactive design and monitoring. Manage and support production monitoring solutions across cloud environments. Analyze trends and recurring issues in live applications, working with developers to prevent repeat incidents. Perform real-time diagnostics and triage of major incidents within backend/frontend product codebases. Lead root cause analysis on difficult or intermittent production issues. Collaborate with developers to understand and accelerate bug fixes by providing context and insights. Provide Tier 3 support as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation for cloud infrastructure and services. Design and maintain automated infrastructure through configuration management and CI/CD practices. Contribute to technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, SOPs, and internal knowledge articles. Integrate and utilize modern PaaS offerings, APIs, and infrastructure solutions.

Core Technical Skills Required

Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (preferred), Docker, Kubernetes Automation Tools: Ansible, Terraform CI/CD & DevOps: Git, Jenkins Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, DataDog Security & Compliance: General understanding of security architecture and best practices Source Control: Git-based workflows, change management Infrastructure Design: Scalable, secure, redundant, and monitored systems

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud operations roles Strong experience with infrastructure as code and system automation Experience in supporting large-scale cloud platforms and production environments Solid problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical details for non-technical audiences Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, agile setting Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
