Provide accurate and timely legal support to executive and upper management in legal issues such as labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc.
Ensure compliance with local legal licensing requirements, statutory requirements, regulations, governance policies
Drafts and reviews the legality of transactions, contracts, agreements and joint ventures
Communicate and negotiate with external parties such as regulators, external counsel, public authorities and etc
Appointment and registration as sole or joint Company Secretary.
Advise on administration and governance of the Company and maintain proper secretarial records of the Company.
Administration for Annual General Meeting (AGMs) and Board Meetings by producing agendas, taking minutes, conveying decisions and handling meeting correspondences.
Contribute to corporate governance discussions by advising the board of directors on relevant legal and regulatory complexities

Bachelor\'s Degree or higher in Law (LLB) or similar field from legally recognized institution (Compulsory)
10 - 12 years in a legal advisory role (with hybrid Corporate Secretarial duties)
Strong legal advisory skills and experience with excellent administrative and organization skills
Stakeholder management skills (both internal and external)
Ability to manage and lead teams (including training and development) in cross hybrid functions
Our client is a holding company with diverse business interests across different industries. They are now looking for a leader to head up both Legal and Corporate Secretarial functions at group level. You will also be assisted by credible and experience staff members in this double-hatting role. With resources and partnerships with various divisions of the company, your role is to provide leadership to both teams in addition to assuming the Advisor/Counsel role to the Board, Chairman, senior management and business heads.
