About the job Big Bad Wolf Ventures Sdn Bhd is the holding company of the companies that own the \'BIG BAD WOLF\' and \'BOOKXCESS\' brands. Reporting to the Executive Director, the company is looking for a mid-level Legal Counsel to join them in the growing company. The Legal Counsel plays an important role especially as the gatekeeper of all commercial transactions. The company and its related companies have businesses in 13 countries and 34 cities (and still counting!) around the globe. As such, this is an excellent and exciting opportunity for someone adventurous to gain exceptional experience in retail and event management. Required qualification & experience Bachelors\' of law or equivalent graduate-level degree. Min 3 - 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in litigation as well as commercial contracts review and drafting. Must possess own transport and be able to commute to our HQ Office in Section 33, Shah Alam. Desired skillsets Good drafting skills. Experienced handling negotiations. Analytical and attentive to details. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Good interpersonal relations skills. Roles & responsibilities Review, negotiate and/or draft various contracts and letters. Identify legal risks and issues and provide appropriate advice to the company. Resolve arising issues as much as possible. Together with external counsels, manage ongoing litigation matters, both within and outside of Malaysia. Oversee global trademark registrations handled by our trademark agents. Any other responsibilities assigned to you as the need arises.
