Incumbents have substantial latitude in determining the best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are broad and complex in nature where considerable independent judgment and discretion are required. Strong initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department\'s/division\'s goals. May also be the entry level for the professional career path. Assignments are received in the form of results expected. Possesses broad knowledge of operations and policies. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work and/or provide project or task leadership. May be considered the expert in areas assigned. Builds strong internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing explanations in a problem solving capacity. Interfaces regularly with persons of higher positions.
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Administers and supports logistics processes such as Returned Material process. Ensures transactions are approved, processed and issues resolved on a timely basis. Understands and completes all paperwork and system updates to ensure integrity of inventory and financial records. Trains and educates users/managers on the process and importance of timely and accurate administration. Coaches process coordinators in SCM and other operational groups. Acts as liaison with CFTs and functional groups on process redesign and improvements. Provides ongoing support in resolving process/execution issues with both internal and external customers. Prepares and review regular reports by customer. Presents and participates in regular meetings to balance workflow related to specific process, review CFT / Business Unit results and get approvals for action items. Works with other functional areas to determine courses of action on materials i.e. Scrap, Rework.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: * Good understanding of manufacturing, warehouse and distribution processes.

  • Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
  • Basic understanding of internal and external customer requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem solve tasks which are limited in complexity to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Physical Demands: * Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Typical Experience:
Six plus years of experience

Typical Education:
2-3 year General diploma/degree, or consideration of equivalent combination of education and experience.
