Job Description

Job Summary:



The Logistics & Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing all logistics, import, and purchasing activities to ensure smooth material flow, timely delivery, and cost-efficient operations for project sites. The role involves handling import customs clearance, transportation coordination, and procurement of materials and services required by the project team.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Import & Shipment Handling



Manage import customs clearance process, including coordination with freight forwarders and customs agents. Prepare and verify import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrival and delivery. Coordinate duty and tax payments in compliance with local regulations. Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and logistics documents.

2. Material Delivery Coordination



Plan and coordinate delivery arrangements for materials and equipment to project sites. Liaise with transporters and crane service providers for loading and unloading activities. Ensure safe handling and delivery of materials to project sites according to schedule. Verify delivery documents and ensure all materials are delivered in good condition.

3. Transportation Management



Arrange all types of transportation requirements, including: Store-to-site delivery Site-to-site transfer Special logistics requests from project teams

4. Procurement & Supplier Coordination



Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and quality materials. Ensure timely delivery of purchased items to meet project schedules. Maintain an updated list of approved suppliers and service providers.

5. Support Functions



Support project and warehouse teams in any logistics or purchasing-related matters. Ensure all documentation is properly filed and maintained for audit purposes. Contribute to process improvements to enhance logistics and procurement efficiency.

Requirements:



Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics and purchasing, preferably in the construction or power industry. Knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance, and transport coordination. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong communication and coordination skills. Able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
