What you\'ll do:

You will manage inbound logistics, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution, and customer service (Sales order processing and execution) aiming to improve our cost base through reduced transportation, warehousing, and operational excellence.

In detail, you will:

Logistics - Warehousing

  • Manage our 3PL partners to ensure day-to-day logistics activities across in-bound logistics, warehousing operations, distribution, returns and document management (including PODs) are executed in line with agreed performance levels/contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA) whilst continuously driving down our cost base.
  • Warehouse management process control, conduct site audit and improvement, and drive for operational excellence standardization.
  • Inventory controlling. Stock management to ensure operational accuracy with zero stock discrepancy\xef\xbc\x9b involve and follow up regular cycle counts results
  • Safety. Implement the standards, safety procedures and practices, incidents reporting, investigation, and corrective actions & SMS (12 elements) implementation.
  • Returns & Damage control\xef\xbc\x9a damages reporting, tracking, investigating and improvement actions\xef\xbc\x9b Returns: Analysis and containment/preventive actions.
  • Logistics cost management and drive for improvement and cost saving opportunities.
  • As and when appropriate facilitate and drive the 3PL RFP process to ensure rates are competitive and services meet the necessary standards.
  • Drive warehouse sustainability initiatives, including Solar on roof and zero waste to landfill deployment.
  • Understand and coordinate Malaysia import/export activities, including customs clearance, documentations, and requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and other third parties to ensure timely and accurate import/export processes and paperwork.
Logistics - Distribution
  • Responsible for B2B daily distribution and outbound management.
  • Work with D2C/E-Com internal stakeholder and partners channels to optimize flow management and develop 3PL maturity and competency.
  • Drive Distribution sustainability and cost initiatives, including load optimization, route optimization, transport CO2 emission reduction, EV implementation, Intermodal Rail increase.
Management
  • Understand customers\' needs, service those needs, and maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer\'s key personnel involved in or directly relevant to supply chain activities.
  • Drive a better working model and collaboration to optimize logistics management with other functions (sales, finance, product line, and service center) and with regional/ global counterparts.
  • Proactively collaborate with supply chain staff, other departments, and senior management to clarify and align on management objectives, to share and absorb information about business developments and performance and to highlight and address issues and opportunities.
  • Active involvement in the hiring, training, supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations of Logistics staff.
Identify and manage risk within the supply chain. Highlight and address unethical/unlawful practices. * Drive key performance indicators (local, regional, sector), monitor and report ongoing performance and improve performance against set goals.

Supply Planning
  • Create, manage, and optimize supply plans to ensure product availability, while minimizing excess stock and obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels at various storage locations, ensuring optimal stock turnover.
  • Strengthen relationships with key suppliers and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with factories/suppliers, logistics, production, and other relevant departments to ensure synchronization across the supply chain.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators to gauge supply planning efficiency, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Drive initiatives that improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate impact.
  • Mentor and develop a team of supply planners, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Supply Chain / Engineering
  • Professional certification i.e., ASCM (formerly known as APICS) CPIM or CSCP will be a plus
  • Minimum 8 years\' experience in Supply Planning, Logistics, warehousing management, and Operations ideally in a sales/manufacturing organization within the (durable) consumer goods, automotive or electronics industry
  • Solid understanding of supply & inventory planning, core warehousing, logistics and distribution processes and proven ability to apply these in practice and build up SOP
  • Experience with 3PL management and tendering
  • Hands-on experience with team management and leadership. The ability to perform as part of a management team environment.
  • A basic understanding of local export/import regulations and custom brokerage processes in the region.
  • Experience working with SAP solutions, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and basic Project Management skills
  • Fluency in English
