Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to regional and global management.
Collaborate with local finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting across all countries in the region.
Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:
Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements for the region, optimizing the use of resources and ensuring sufficient liquidity.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to enhance cash flow management.
Implement strategies to improve the region\'s working capital cycle and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
Compliance and Internal Controls:
Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements across the APAC region.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets, ensuring financial integrity and consistency with global policies
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.
Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Identify and lead improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations and reduce costs.
Ensure alignment of regional financial processes with global standards and best practices.
Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:
Act as a strategic business partner to regional management, providing financial insights and guidance to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to understand business needs and provide financial support.
Communicate financial results, forecasts, and strategies to regional and corporate stakeholders.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals across the APAC region, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the finance team.
Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team alignment with regional and global goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA )
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
Strong understanding of APAC regional financial regulations and accounting standards.
Experience in leading a finance team in a shared service environment preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proven experience in financial reporting, FP&A, and compliance.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in managing cross-border teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
