Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Mainframe Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Cards Application Development Management team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Cardlink applications in a Mainframe ZOS environment. The role involves end-to-end software development, including coding, testing, deployment, and production support, while adhering to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management standards followed in the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, and JCL. Work on Cardlink modules to deliver application enhancements and new functionalities. Handle VSAM and sequential datasets for both batch and online transaction processing. Participate in all stages of the SDLC - requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support. Collaborate with QA, operations, and functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality and stable applications. Provide production support and troubleshoot application or batch issues, ensuring minimal business impact. Follow organizational change management processes for all application modifications and deployments. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and release notes. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support compliance and audit requirements.

Experience:

3-5 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development and support.

Mandatory Skills:

Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, JCL Data Management: VSAM and Sequential Datasets, NoSQL Database Operating System: Mainframe ZOS Domain Expertise: Cardlink Development and Delivery

Good-to-Have Skills:

Knowledge of card processing systems, financial transaction flows, and settlement processes. Familiarity with debugging tools, job scheduling, and performance tuning. Experience working in a banking or financial services environment.

Other Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of experience developing applications using COBOL/CICS. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and change management practices. Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and distributed teams.
