Job Title: Mainframe Developer (Appl. Dev Mgt)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Mainframe Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Cards Application Development Management team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining applications on Mainframe platforms supporting CardLink or Vision Plus systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, and possess a solid understanding of SDLC processes and banking domain operations, preferably in Cards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe-based Cards applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL. Support and enhance CardLink / Vision Plus modules related to card issuance, transaction processing, and settlement. Work with VSAM and Sequential Datasets for batch and online transaction processing. Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation, and post-production support. Collaborate with QA, business, and operations teams to ensure high-quality and stable system delivery. Provide technical support, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues in production environments. Ensure adherence to change management, security, and compliance standards. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for development and support activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in streamlining Mainframe development practices.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in Mainframe application development and support.

Mandatory Skills:

o Mainframe, CardLink / Vision Plus

o COBOL, CICS, JCL

o VSAM and Sequential Datasets

o NoSQL Database (as applicable)

o Mainframe ZOS environment

Nice to Have Skills:

o Easytrieve

o Authorization system knowledge

o Job scheduling, debugging, and performance optimization tools

Other Requirements:

o Practical experience with SDLC processes and change management tools.

o Prior experience in banking projects, preferably in the Cards domain.
