Job Description


The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the efficient functioning of all maintenance activities within the glove manufacturing facility. This role involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing the maintenance team, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in maintenance, experience in a manufacturing environment, and leadership skills.

  • Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize production downtime.
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Supervise daily activities of the maintenance team, providing guidance.
  • Train maintenance team members on technical skills and safety practices.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, ensuring critical components are stocked.
  • Coordinate with vendors for cost-effective sourcing of parts and supplies.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments in work areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
  • Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance to management.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize maintenance processes.
  • Assist in maintenance budgeting, monitoring expenses, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
