An established high-tech plastics product manufacturer is recruiting for a Maintenance Manager job to lead all the activities for all plant machinery and equipment at manufacturing sites. This position reports to the Production Lead. About the Maintenance Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations in the factory as well as carry out calibrations and modifications to existing machines and processes for quality improvement purposes. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the work of maintenance supervisors and chargeman to perform engineering duties such as planning, installation and maintenance of plant machines and equipment
• Provide hands-on guidance in resolving equipment problems
• Provide coaching and training to technical team to improve work performance
• Achieve minimal production equipment downtime within set targets
• Suggest and implement improvement ideas to reduce costs and improve overall equipment efficiency
• Maintain and update maintenance records on timely basis
• Plan and schedule work roster to minimise overtime and ensure optimisation of resources
• Plan and schedule predictive maintenance programs to prevent breakdown
• Ensure all equipment supplies/spare parts and outsourced jobs are purchased or contracted at competitive rates

To be successful in this Maintenance Manager role, you must have prior engineering and maintenance experience within the glove manufacturing or heavy industry. Key Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant technical background
• At least 10 years of Engineering experience within an Engineering or Manufacturing company
• Strong in machinery/equipment preventive maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting skills, good leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical approach to problem-solving
• Strong leadership, accountability, team building and advanced coaching skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge in lean manufacturing
