Responsible for general labor duties within the facility. Will perform routine cleaning, general labor maintenance, grounds maintenance, and general facilities upkeep. May be specialized into certain aspects of general labor, such as grounds maintenance, recycling programs, custodial, some HVAC, or janitorial. May indirectly lead others by planning and coordinating the day-to-day operations of crew engaged in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and facilities. Estimates resources, schedules completion dates and monitors progress of jobs. Serves as technical resource for assigned work group.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:



Coordination of Work Orders



Plan, assign, and check the work of internal facilities staff, as well as outside vendors/ contractors. This may include, coordination of general plant services such as office moving, furniture installations, cleaning, daily inspections, grounds maintenance, and waste disposal. Provide direction, guidance, and instruction on the correct operation of equipment and materials used within the department. Ensure work performed follows established quality and safety standards/procedures and is completed on time as well as within budget. Provide technical advice, guidance, and training to employees. Interacts with managers and internal customers.

Vendor Coordination



Assist in the development of specifications, obtain cost estimates, evaluate proposals and bids, assist in the selection of vendors, and monitor contract compliance for requested facilities work. May oversee vendors and contractors to verify that work is correctly planned and completed in a timely manner, that the correct materials are utilized, and to ensure that procedures meet state and local requirements by reviewing plans and specialized drawings. Monitors and operates unique requirements within the facility or on the grounds.

Reporting and Procedure Maintenance



Document procedures related to work assignments. Make recommendations for changes in procedures. Draft and submit reports related to work order management and project completion.

General Facilities Maintenance



Inspects and cleans facilities and grounds. May include outside and inside inspections, such as the parking lot or within the facility. Sweep and clean, according to a regular schedule. Maintain supplies in supply room. May perform limited preventative maintenance work. Collect waste and dispose of waste appropriately. Appropriately handle recyclable materials as part of the waste disposal program. Perform lawn upkeep services, such as mowing or weeding.

General Duties



Perform general labor work orders, requested by internal customers such as responding to questions, cleaning, or moving furniture. Moving furniture or coordinating office furniture moves.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



Required Degree:

High School is required (or local country equivalent)

Preferred Degree:

Bachelor's degree

Certificate(s):

Possess a valid driver's license.

Experience:

4+ years of experience on similar positions.

Work Shift

12-hr Rotating (Malaysia)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
