Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Repair

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule. Attend machine breakdowns and carry out timely repair to minimize downtime. Maintain and repair textile machinery such as Dyeing, printing, finishing machines Maintain utilities including compressors, boilers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
2. Electrical / Mechanical Works

(Assign according to specialization)

Mechanical Technician

Maintain bearings, belts, chains, shafts, valves, steam and pneumatic systems. Perform alignment, lubrication, and mechanical fitting works.
Electrical Technician

Maintain motors, panels, sensors, inverters, and basic PLC systems. Carry out wiring, troubleshooting, and electrical safety checks.
3. Preventive Maintenance & Housekeeping

Follow PM checklists and record maintenance activities. Ensure proper lubrication and cleaning of machines. Practice 5S and good housekeeping in work areas.

Qualifications / Requirements

Education

Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in

Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering

, or a related technical field. Technical certification from

ILP, IKBN, KV, or Polytechnic

will be an advantage.

Working Experience

Minimum

2-5 years of working experience

in maintenance within a manufacturing or factory environment. Experience in the

textile industry

(dyeing, printing, finishing) is an advantage but not mandatory. Fresh graduates with strong technical skills may be considered for junior positions.

Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of

preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance

. Hands-on experience in either

mechanical

or

electrical

maintenance. Ability to read and understand

basic technical drawings, manuals, and schematics

. Familiarity with industrial equipment such as motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and conveyors.

Mechanical Technician (Additional Requirements)

Electrical Technician (Additional Requirements)

Chargeman certification (A0/A1/A4)

is an advantage.

Safety & Housekeeping

Basic understanding of

OSH, LOTO, and 5S

practices. Strong awareness of workplace safety and good housekeeping.

Personal Attributes

Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to respond quickly during machine breakdowns. Willing to work

shift, overtime, or standby

when required.

Others

Good communication skills in

Bahasa Malaysia

; basic

English

is preferred. Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance work. Possess own transport and a valid driving license is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
