Global Service & Parts (GSP) is responsible for the worldwide Service & Parts business of the Mercedes-Benz Group.
The newly established entity, Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, will be part of the global Mercedes-Benz Group After-Sales supply chain network, covering the regional distribution hub, regional Asia Pacific functions and the center of competence supply chain steering Asia Pacific. The future Regional Logistics Centre is currently under construction and will start operations in 2023. The future Regional Logistics Centre (RLC) in Senai (Johor Bahru) will be a key facility in the global GSP Parts Logistics Network and will serve as a distribution site for spare parts to 24 countries in the Asia Pacific region. It will take care of the importation, the storage as well as the regional management of spare part and accessories distribution.

Your tasks & responsibilities:
- Responsible for the contract management of six 3PL operated logistics centers in Asia Pacific region - Australia, Japan, Korea, India, Malaysia, Singapore; in strong cooperation with the Head of Cluster Asia/Pacific located at Kuala Lumpur.
- Continuous performance monitoring of the 3PL operated facilities, in conjunction with the local site and/or operations manager in view of contractual service fulfillment.
- Conduct regular audits of 3PL processes in order to safeguard Mercedes-Benz standards in terms of quality and performance to customers.
- Provide directions and initiate measurements to 3PL operations of the cluster in case of contractural deviations (in alignment with and order of Center of Competence CoC).
- Performance status reporting with and for the CoC (Germany) and cluster-lead (Kuala Lumpur) on monthly basis.
- Assist local business with contract or dispute resolution process and ensure that appropriate divisions are informed as needed and as appropriate (e.g. Legal, Procurement).
- Develop and maintain database of each countries 3PL landscape and active companies, represented from a local and global level, with Automotive Spare Parts and Innovation capabilities.
- Regional support for the CoC in view to tender processes at the Asia Pacific cluster facilities.
- Develop, conduct and collaborate guideline and roadmap for/in tender processes together with home-office, IPS and site managers.
- Ensure standardization of logistics requirements and KPIs in tenders.
- Conduct 3 PL-site related project activities for initiatives/projects at the sites; involvement/coordination of expert capacities of OGI.

Job requirements:
- Degree in Industrial engineering, logistics, business, economics or similar disciplines.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics or/and supply chain management.
- Advanced project management experience, ability to undertake independent projects and work with multiple locations/parties.
- At least 3 years of experience in the managing and handling of external service provider.
- Passion for working internationally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good team player, especially good sense of intercultural communication in an international work environment.
- Self-steered, ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload within tight deadlines and capacity.
- MS-Office-Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Data Analysis expertise in Excel or Access would be an advantage but not essential.
- Basic skills of IT-Systems at wholesale operations appreciated.
- Target oriented, ability to achieve results in complex and conflict-based situations.
- Open for frequent business travelling (APAC focus) - 50% travel.
- Excellent knowledge of English, German of added value.
- Specific logistics or/and supply chain management knowledge.
- Knowledge of Lean Management.
- Updated in industry knowledge, movements and resourceful.
